It is with great sadness that we must announce, Max Chudy Jr has passed away. Max has been a huge part of Chudy Paper's growth and prosperity in the last several decades. When Max was a young child, he enjoyed his summers in Canada, recalling stories of Crystal Beach in its glory days. Max has had many accomplishments, including his time in the military during World War II. Post military, he dedicated much of his life to his family, his 7 children, and Chudy Paper. He assisted in expanding Chudy Paper from our original location on Lombard, moving to Bailey Ave, and to our current location on Walden Ave. Max was always focused on not only improving the business, but how business decisions would affect his staff and customers. Staff and his loyal customer base were always his largest concern when making decisions. Throughout his years, Max has touched hundreds of employees and customers who ended up becoming close friends. Max Chudy Jr is a true example of the greatest generation, and will be deeply missed.

Meet Sophie! She is a sweetheart who currently resides at the Niagara SPCA. Our goal is to get her adopted as quickly as possible! This Holiday Season, The Chudy Team became involved in Resurrection Life's Toy Drive & Distribution Initiative. We began by hosting a toy drive, and collecting toys internally. After the drive was complete, the distribution process started. This involves a two day process of setting up the toy shopping tables, followed by two days of shopping with various parents! Certain user-error or improper usage can be ineffective and even dangerous. An extremely important tip is to always pay attention to Dwell Times on the product label of any chemical or disinfectant! Dwell time is the amount of time needed for a chemical to stay wet on a surface to achieve maximum kill rate or efficacy. Why is this important? The popular "spray & wipe" method may not be ridding of germs. Giving a chemical time on a surface to achieve it's dwell time will ensure that the advertised kill rate is accomplished and your facility is safe for all staff and patrons. Due to Polystyrene Foam's impact on the environment, New York State has decided to implement a ban on all polystyrene, single use foam food containers, and packing peanuts. Senate Bill S8817 announces that PFAS in food packaging will be banned and this act shall take effect December 31, 2022. PFAS is a very prevalent in the foodservice industry. It is extremely helpful with managing grease, heat, and keeping the integrity of your take-out order, which is why it is widely popular throughout the country. As of December 31, 2022 NYS restaurants will need an alternative packaging option to stay compliant.
